Fruit Farm

Edward Vinson Limited produces in excess of 1750 tonnes of strawberries and 250 tonnes of raspberries annually, these are to supply UK supermarkets. What in past years was a six week season, has become six months, giving continuity of supply to our customers from May until October.

In order to give a regular supply throughout the season we employ a number of different techniques and varieties. The Company has been at the forefront of developments regarding the use of Everbearer Varieties providing supplies during July, August and September. These developments, based on our own varieties Everest, Evie 2, and Evie 3 have led to a fourfold increase in strawberry tonnage during the last 20 years to meet the increasing demand for summer fruits.

Edward Vinson Limited is proud to be associated with BerryWorld. BerryWorld specialises in the year round supply of berry fruits to UK multiple retailers and since its inception has become a market leader and developed a track record of continuous growth.

In response to customer demand the Company is currently investing in a potted blueberry plantation from which we will get a small crop (5 tonnes) in 2007.
